Inspection Records

Miami County Public Health uses the inspection record system provided by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). On May 19, 2025, Miami County Public Health began using Accela, a cloud-based platform for permitting, licensing and inspections.

The following environmental programs are included on the Accela platform:

· Food Service/Establishments

· Public Swimming Pools and Spas

· RV Parks and Camps

· Resident Camps

· Body Art

Inspections conducted on or after May 19, 2025, will be available to view In Accela. Inspection records prior to May 19, 2025, can be requested by emailing EH@miamicountyhealth.net or by contacting us at 937-573-3504.

Inspection records reflect the conditions observed at the time the inspector was in the facility. For each facility, the type and number of violations can vary from inspection to inspection. It is important to look at multiple inspection records for a facility to gain an understanding of the facility’s approach and commitment to safety and sanitation.

To view inspection reports dated May 19, 2025, or later, follow these tips to help with a successful search:

  • You do not need to create an account
  • Under “Environmental Health” click on “Search Applications”
  • ALWAYS change the Start Date to 01/01/2000
  • If you know the name of the food facility, type it in the “Project Name:” field. The name must be exactly how the name is displayed on the food license.
  • Be aware, the search results will include In-active food licenses. More than likely, you will be interested in active locations
  • You can search by city or by the name of the street
  • You can narrow down the type of facility by clicking on the drop down menu under “Record Type:”
  • Placing a % symbol before or after a word will broaden your search. Using %City in the Project Name field will retrieve facilities such as Tipp City Pizza or Dragon City
  • Once you have found the facility, click on Record Info then click on Attachments. Click on the blue highlighted PDF name.  The first eight digits of the file name represent the date of the inspection.
